Holistic Massage

A process, not a routine

A range of techniques are drawn upon in what is a creative and intuitive process, guided by your very unique needs. No two massages will ever therefore be the same.

Techniques which may be incorporated into your massage include:

  • Effleurage (sweeping strokes)
  • Petrissage (kneading)
  • Simple lymphatic massage
  • Deep tissue work
  • Joint mobilisations
  • Acupressure points
  • Stretches
  • Percussion

The client is not seen as a problem to be fixed but as a whole person, taking into account physical, emotional and mental factors.

Your agenda is key - whether you'd like relief for aching muscles, to manage symptoms of a chronic illness, stress relief or most likely a combination of things.

Prior to your appointment. I will send a consultation form by email which I will use to gather information on your health and wellbeing, what you want from your massage, and anything you particularly like or dislike when it comes to massage. I will also check in with you when you arrive for you appointment to see how you're feeling on the day.
